Fellow Colonels, as our nation prepares to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, we have an extraordinary opportunity to be part of what promises to be the largest celebration in Lexington's history. Our chapter will proudly participate in Lexington's America 250 celebration, and we invite every member to join us in making this a memorable and patriotic occasion. Our chapter will be featured in the parade with a float, while members walk the parade route distributing candy and American flags to spectators. We have also reached out to the Central Kentucky Concert Band to encourage participation in providing patriotic music that will help showcase the pride and spirit of our great nation. Participants will gather on Midland Avenue (exact location to be announced) before proceeding down Main Street as part of this historic event. This is more than just a parade—it's an opportunity to honor our nation's remarkable 250-year journey, celebrate the freedoms we cherish, and demonstrate the strong presence and patriotism of our chapter within the community. We encourage you not only to participate yourself, but also to bring your family members and friends to join us. Children are especially welcome! Have them decorate and bring a wagon, ride a bicycle, or carry an American flag as they help us celebrate this historic occasion. The sights and sounds of families participating together will help make this a truly memorable event for our community. Whether you ride on the float, walk the route, help distribute flags and candy, or simply join in the festivities, your participation will help make this celebration a success. The more people we have celebrating together, the greater the impact we can make in honoring this historic milestone. We have high hopes that many of you will choose to join your fellow Colonels in this tremendous event. Together, we can help make Lexington's America 250 celebration one to remember for generations to come. Let's come together to show our pride, our unity, and our commitment to preserving and celebrating America's heritage. We look forward to celebrating with you, your family, and your friends as Lexington honors America's 250th Birthday! God Bless America!
