Local Chapter – Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels

Requirements for Membership

To join the local Lexington KY chapter, you must first be a commissioned Kentucky Colonel and considered active with HOKC headquarters in Louisville. You are recognized as active when you have made a monetary donation of your choice to the Louisville, KY headquarters of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels - Good Works Program.

If it has been a year or more since your last contribution, simply make a new donation to reactivate your status. Headquarters will then issue an updated membership card with your name and commission ID. This chapter requires an updated copy of your card each year to maintain your membership. 

Chapter Application

A one‑time Membership Request Application (no fee) is required for our chapter database.

Chapter Dues

Annual chapter dues are $50. These contributions help ensure financial stability, support chapter operations, and allow us to plan service projects and events that benefit our members and the communities we serve.

Members who contribute annual dues enjoy the full range of chapter benefits, including:

               Attendance at our four annual membership meetings

• Participation in chapter‑ or HOKC‑sanctioned social events
• Participation in HOKC or chapter Days of Service
• Voting rights within the chapter
• Eligibility to run for and hold positions on the Board of Directors
• Opportunities to serve on committees
• Access to the chapter’s private Facebook group
• Access to the Members‑Only section of our website
• A chapter‑specific lanyard and name badge
• Discounts on chapter merchandise (when available)
• Continued inclusion in our chapter database and email communications

Note: The first THREE benefits are automatically available to all Commissioned Kentucky Colonels.
