The Lexington chapter was created specifically as a hub for Colonels. Now, it offers a structured way to:

🏅 Membership Overview
Requirements for Membership
To join the Lexington chapter, you must:
1. Be a Commissioned Kentucky Colonel
You must already hold a Kentucky Colonel commission.
2. Be “Active” with HOKC Headquarters (Louisville)
- You are considered active when you make a monetary donation of your choice to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels – Good Works Program yearly.
- If it has been one year or more since your last contribution, simply make a new donation to reactivate your status.
- Headquarters will issue an updated membership card with your name and commission ID.
- The Lexington chapter requires an updated copy of this card each year to maintain your membership.
Chapter Application
- A one‑time Membership Request Application is required.
- There is no fee for this application.
- This form adds you to the chapter’s internal database.
Chapter Dues
Annual dues: $50
These funds support:
- Chapter operations
- Financial stability
- Service projects
- Member events
Benefits of Paying Annual Dues
Members who contribute annual dues receive:
- Attendance at four annual membership meetings
- Participation in chapter‑ or HOKC‑sanctioned social events
- Participation in Days of Service
- Voting rights within the chapter
- Eligibility to run for or hold Board of Directors positions
- Opportunities to serve on committees
- Access to the private Facebook group
- Access to the Members‑Only section of the website
- A chapter‑specific lanyard and name badge
- Discounts on chapter merchandise (when available)
- Continued inclusion in the chapter database and email communications
Note:
The first three benefits (meetings + social events + Days of Service) are automatically available to all commissioned Kentucky Colonels, regardless of chapter dues.
